In accordance with the Digital Economy Development Concept in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025, approved by the Resolution of the Dear President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan is conducting consistent work to optimize its activities in the field of digitalization. In this context, much attention is paid to the transition of the Single Window system. And the seminar was held on February 24, 2020 in the conference hall of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan under the title «Actual Issues of Implementing the Single Window for Foreign Trade».

The seminar was organized by UNDP in collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), as well as the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by representatives of state bodies - participants of foreign economic activity and international experts.

The presented presentations of experts on the implementation of the Single Window system made it possible for the seminar participants to get acquainted with modern concepts, information technologies necessary for moving to this system and exploring the possibilities of using them in the process of their work.

As already known, the national prototype of the integrated customs information system «ASYCUDA World» was implemented in the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan in cooperation with UNCTAD and with the active assistance of UNDP in Turkmenistan. It is assumed that this particular system will become the main platform that will contribute to the implementation of the Single Window project for foreign trade in our country.
