Conference on Amendments and Additions to the Constitution of Turkmenistan

On April 11, 2020, a meeting was held in the conference hall of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan on introducing amendments and additions to the Constitution of Turkmenistan.

It was attended by a deputy of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, a teacher at the State University of Turkmenistan named after Makhtumkuli, employees of the General Prosecutor's Office of Turkmenistan, the State Court of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan, the Democratic Party of Ashgabat and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The initiative of the President to introduce amendments and additions to the Constitution, as well as the creation of a bicameral parliamentary system and constitutional commission for this work marks a new round of political and legal reforms with new responsibilities in the political and social spheres of our country. Among them, the task of public awareness of the importance of legislative reforms is important.

Representatives of relevant structures who spoke at the meeting emphasized that the President’s initiatives to improve the Constitution of Turkmenistan are the legal basis for the multifaceted development of our country.
