A webinar on “Law enforcement response to COVID-19 pandemic” was held at the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan

On June 9, 2020, a webinar was held at the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on the topic “Law enforcement response to COVID-19 pandemic”.

The training was attended by representatives of the State Customs and Border Services of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The experts were UNODC international experts. The opening ceremony of the webinar included statements by Ms. Ashita Mittal, UNODC Regional Representative, and Miralizoda Rustam, Director of the Central Asian Regional Coordination Information Center.

During the webinar, participants discussed issues that arise in the work of law enforcement agencies in the spread of acute infections, and exchanged experience in taking measures to respond to crisis situations.
