Customs officers participated in working meetings on different international issues

The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan actively cooperates with UN offices and other international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan on issues related to customs affairs at the international level. These are the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Center for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Ashgabat, the International Road Transport Union (IRU), the BOMCA program and others.

Constant control over the fulfillment of duties and tasks related to the customs business is carried out within the framework of projects implemented in cooperation with international organizations. for this purpose, customs officers participate in joint international working meetings, forums and conferences.

On September 30, such meetings and forums were simultaneously organized with several international organizations. By tradition, all meetings were held online.

Thus, within the framework of "Trade Week" in Geneva,

Discussion on “Trade facilitation as a means of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals in conjunction with the WTO accession processes”;

Working meeting of the European Union within the framework of the regional project "Central Asia: preparation for trade cooperation".

Also, a meeting of the council members was held within the framework of the project of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Central Asia on the topic "Transnational organized crime, drug trafficking and the prevention of terrorism."
