The regular 139th-140th meetings of the Customs Cooperation Council, the highest decision-making body of the Organization, took place on 23-25 June 2022 at the headquarters of the World Customs Organization (WCO) in Brussels, Belgium. It was attended by delegations at the level of heads of customs services of the Member States of the Organization. The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan D. Bayryev and a representative of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium.

At the meeting, WCO Secretary General K.Mukuria reported on the work carried out by the Secretariat of the Organization for the 2021-2022 financial year, and in particular from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022.

On the last day of the Council meetings, elections were held for the positions of the Deputy Secretary General of the Organization and the Chairman of the Customs Cooperation Council for the previous year.
