President of Turkmenistan attended the opening of a mosque in Lebap province

On February 21, 2020, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Lebap province, where he took part in the opening ceremony of the main mosque of the region, reports State News Agency of Turkmenistan. 

Having made a flight to Turkmenabat, the presidential plane landed at the International Airport of the region’s administrative center, where the head of state was met by the chairman of the Mejlis, deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, and the hyakim of the Lebap province.

Here, the President of Turkmenistan, in an interview with members of the government, noted the need to take measures to successfully address the socio-economic development of the regions. In Lebap province, as well as throughout the country, great importance is attached to the construction of industrial, social and other purposes.

From the air harbor, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proceeded to a new mosque, erected in one of the most beautiful corners in the south-eastern part of the city, along its main street - Bitarap Turkmenistan.

On the same day, the President of Turkmenistan returned to Ashgabat. Upon arrival at the international airport of the capital, where the head of state was met by officials, the Turkmen leader noted that a good deed was done today. Stressing that such events are important in strengthening the cohesion of the people, and it is advisable to continue them in the future, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left the scene.
