The first meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Coordination of the "Single Window for Export-Import Operations" system

On February 27, 2021, the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan hosted the 1st meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Coordination of the "Single Window for Export-Import Operations" system, which was created by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on February 12 of this year. Besides, experts from the relevant ministries and departments also took part in the meeting.

As it was noted, currently, in accordance with the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025, comprehensive work is being carried out in order to develop a high-tech and competitive digital economy through the widespread introduction of the digital system in the industries. As an example, it can be shown that from January 1, 2020, the Integrated Customs Information System (ASYCUDA World) has been implemented to the customs authorities of Turkmenistan. ASYCUDA World will be used as the main platform for the implementation of the Single Window system in the country.

In accordance with the Agenda, the members of the meeting talked about the goals and results of the "Single Window for Export-Import Operations" project, which is designed for 2021-2023, and also discussed important aspects regarding ensuring its successful implementation.

In the end, specific tasks and sequential actions of the Working Group for the implementation of the Project were identified.
