Gender-Sensitive Trade Facilitation Training held at Lebap Velayat Customs

On August 19, 2021, within the framework of interaction with the International Trade Organization in the city of Turkmenabat, a training was held on trade facilitation taking into account gender aspects with the participation of employees of the Lebap velayat customs.

The training was conducted by employees of the Central Office of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, who had previously been trained at a regional online training and received certificates from the International Trade Organization.

The participants of the training noted the relevance and importance of studying gender issues in modern conditions and expressed their gratitude for organizing the training, during which they were able to study more deeply the issues of gender equality in international trade.

As it was reported earlier, the first such training was held on the basis of the Balkan velayat customs. As a reminder, a series of trainings on gender issues in international trade are carried out within the framework of the regional project “Ready4Trade Central Asia” of the International Trade Center (ITC), funded by the European Union.
