The Memorandum of Understanding between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of personnel training and the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of preventing, detecting and committing suspicious financial transactions were signed by the Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan M. Hudaykulyyev and Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Mavlonov on October 21, 2022 in Ashgabat in the Turkmen-Uzbek summit talks held within the framework of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev to Turkmenistan.

As part of the signed memorandum, the parties will exchange documents and information about committed or alleged facts of illegal withdrawal of funds abroad.

Cooperation between customs services in the field of personnel training is planned to be organized on the basis of educational institutions of the parties. The memorandum provides for interaction in the following areas: exchange of information on the training system, planning and organization of the educational process; organizing joint educational and scientific events, conducting training seminars.

The Basic Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on mutual assistance in customs matters was signed on October 8, 2015.
