On May 5, 2023, the national seminar on risk management, organized in Ashgabat in the framework of cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia (BOMCA 10), ended. The seminar was attended by customs officers responsible for risk management and analysis, data exchange, customs control and combating customs offenses.

During the event, experts from the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan acquainted the participants with the features of introducing a risk analysis system into the customs authorities of Kazakhstan.

The participants held discussions and exchange of experience in risk management area during the three days of work on the discussion platforms. As a result, recommendations were developed for applying the best practices for identifying and assessing risks.

The Turkmen Customs is currently developing a risk analysis process. A platform has been created for the automatic selection of goods for customs control, which is based on monitoring risk profiles.
