In September 2025, independent international experts conducted a final assessment of the “Single Window for Export-Import Operations” project, implemented by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
According to the results of the assessment, the “Single Window” system was recognized as an important step in accelerating foreign economic relations and facilitating interaction between the state and the business community. It was also confirmed that its main directions are clearly aligned with Turkmenistan’s process of accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
It was noted that the introduction of this system has improved interagency cooperation and created new opportunities for transitioning to digital public administration.
At present, 19 ministries and 24 sectoral administrative bodies are connected to the “Single Window” system, integrated into a unified digital platform. As a result, the time required to complete necessary procedures has been reduced, costs have been significantly lowered, and the transparency of services has increased.
According to digital reports, in 2024 alone, nearly 100,000 permits were processed through this system, while in the first eight months of 2025, about 120,000 documents were issued electronically.
