At the initiative of the Dear President of Turkmenistan, the country's foreign policy, based on the principles of peaceful and productive international relations, and friendly, good-neighborly and mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries and authoritative international organizations is always being successfully developed. One of the striking examples of this is the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the customs authorities of the countries of the region concerning the preliminary electronic exchange of customs data about goods and vehicles across the customs border of the country.

The preliminary electronic exchange of customs data will allow the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan to manage risks during customs clearance, to provide an opportunity for controlling the prices of goods, for preventing the circulation of counterfeit documents and for monitoring compliance with the prescribed prohibitions and restrictions.

At the time of the modern transition to the digital economy of our country, the preliminary electronic exchange of customs data with the customs authorities of the countries of the region about goods and vehicles across the border will be useful in reducing the time of customs clearance, increasing the amount of income from customs payments, widening export and transit opportunities, and as a result, further development of the national economy of Turkmenistan.
