On April 1, 2022, the official opening ceremony of the Port Control Group at the customs post "Farap Avtoyollary" of the Lebap Velayat Customs was held in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in the framework of the global program of UNODC and the World Customs Organization "Control of container transportation."

Representatives of the UN Office in Central Asia, headed by UNODC Regional Representative Ashita Mittal, representatives of donor organizations, members of the Alyat Port Control Group (Uzbekistan), Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan U.Kodirov took part in the video conference event. The side of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan was represented by Deputy Chairman D. Bayryev.

As D. Bayryev noted in his congratulatory speech, this event was the result of many years of fruitful cooperation between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Central Asia.

Recall that earlier such Port Control Groups were established at the International Customs Terminal in the city of Ashgabat, as well as in the seaport of the city of Turkmenbashi.
