Turkmen customs officers took part in an international seminar held in the seaport of Kuryk of the Republic of Kazakhstan

An international seminar was held on the basis of the Kuryk seaport in order to improve the skills of customs and border officials of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan in the prevention and detection of illegal circulation of goods and vehicles.

This event was conducted by BOMCA experts from the customs department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania.

The customs and border services of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan familiarized themselves with the Lithuanian experience in assessing risk factors in the selection of ships and containers for customs inspection.

Participants learned about the types of sea containers, methods of their verification and compliance with safety regulations during the inspection.

Also, European experts shared their experience on the method of detecting smuggling prohibited for import and export of goods in containers. During practical exercises, typical storage places for caches on ships and in containers were demonstrated.

It is worth noting the role of the seminar in the accumulation of large international experience.
