Yesterday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial complex, hyakims of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat, having discussed important issues of the country's socio-economic development, as well as the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the regions.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of the responsible approach of farmers to cotton sowing and compliance with the quality of work, which will be the key to a future rich harvest. Then, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiyev reported on the progress of seasonal field work in the country as a whole.

To lay the foundations for a high yield of wheat, these days the crops are carefully cared for, watered and fertilized with mineral fertilizers. In addition, the fight against agricultural pests has been launched.

The vice-premier also informed that silkworm caterpillars are being cared for in Akhal, Lebap and Mary velayats, and high-quality grena has been harvested in Balkan velayat, which is distributed among silkworm breeders. In Dashoguz velayat, taking into account the climatic conditions of the region, silkworm caterpillars will be cared for on April 26.

Noting that the state is investing huge funds in the development of the agro-industrial complex, the vice-premier assured the head of Turkmenistan that rural workers, effectively using the opportunities provided, will do everything in their power to successfully solve the tasks set. The Deputy Prime Minister also reported on the ongoing planned preparations for the upcoming National Day of the Turkmen Horse.

After listening to the report, the President of the country noted that seasonal field work must meet the requirements and be carried out within the established agrotechnical terms and with high quality. Particular attention should be paid to the care of crops, the fight against crop pests, weeds, which must be carried out properly. At the same time, it is necessary to effectively use the possibilities of bio-enterprises available in the country.

The head of state noted the importance of obtaining high yields of potatoes, onions and other fruits and vegetables in all velayats of the country, in connection with which the vice-premier was given specific instructions.

It is also necessary to make every effort to organize the harvesting season of silkworm cocoons and successfully fulfill the planned plans for the production of this valuable raw material. The Deputy Prime Minister was also given a number of instructions on this matter.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the organization of high-level events on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, which is held on the last Sunday of April, having addressed the Vice-premier with specific instructions.
