On April 22, 2022, specialists of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, in order to discuss the next steps for the transition to paperless trade, met with the national expert on the promotion of paperless trade of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, Gundogdy Evjanov.
During the meeting, the legal aspects of facilitating participation in cross-border paperless trade through the exchange of electronic trade-related data were considered, as well as further steps to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the Framework Agreement on the Facilitation of Cross-Border Paperless Trade in the Asia-Pacific Region.
As is known, Turkmenistan became a member of this Framework Agreement in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan dated April 17, 2022 on accession to the Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-Border Paperless Trade in the Asia-Pacific Region.
