Today, in the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, with the participation of the Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov, celebrations were held in honor of the National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse, within the framework of which the ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners of the international beauty contest of Akhal-Teke horses and a thematic competition among representatives of creative professions was held.

Early in the morning, in elegant attire, he met the guests and participants of the holiday, the Akhal-Teke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan, which became the venue for the annual competitions in honor of the "paradise" horses, personifying the standard of beauty and harmony.
At the main entrance to the complex, the head of state was met by the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, ministries and departments of the country, khyakims of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat, members of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding. It also brought together noble horse breeders who have achieved remarkable success in their chosen for life business, real professionals in other areas, one way or another connected with the wonderful world of horses.

In this regard, we recall the XII meeting of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding, held on April 20 in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Through the digital system, the forum was also attended by foreign members of this authoritative organization, which includes representatives of more than thirty states of the planet. Thanks to their activities, the number of Akhal-Teke horses increases every year and the number of their connoisseurs grows.
On behalf of all horse breeders of the country, the head of state is asked to accept a gift of magnificent Akhal-Teke horses as a token of gratitude for the active attention to their work, as well as in honor of a significant event.
Horses from each velayat of the country and the capital are brought to the site one by one. Together with them, leaders of all regions, elders and representatives of the younger generation come out in turn.
So, on behalf of the inhabitants of the Akhal velayat, a beautiful horse Diyarym was donated, from the Balkan velayat - the horse Perzent, from the Dashoguz velayat - the horse Shabat, from the Lebap velayat - the horse Gundogar, from the Mary velayat - the horse Belent, from the city of Ashgabat - the horse Meledepel.
On behalf of the military and law enforcement agencies, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was presented with a horse named Gerchek.
Another gift - on behalf of all horse breeders of the country. A magnificent horse named Galkynysh, who was born in 2019, is a descendant of Edep and Aigul and belongs to the line of the famous horse Gyrsakar, is brought to the demonstration site, presented to him and handed a passport.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed his gratitude to the elders of the velayats participating in the festival, to all horse breeders who make a great contribution to the continuation of the glorious history of "heavenly" horses.
Following a good tradition, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov tied the traditional “alaja” charm, woven by grandmother Ogulabat Ene, around the neck of the horse Galkynysh, which was a sign of a worthy continuation of national traditions coming from the depths of centuries.

Ten best representatives of the Akhal-Teke breed selected at the preliminary stages from Ashgabat, Akhal, Balkan, Lebap, Dashoguz and Mary velayats are taken to the observation deck.
Each of them was held twice in front of the judges. The first time without equipment, and the second time - in a full set of horse ornaments, in a carpet blanket and under the saddle. Since ancient times, Turkmens, expressing love for their faithful friends, the Akhal-Teke, dressed them in precious outfits, not sparing silver, gold and gems on them.
All horses were presented to the jury and the public in order: name, age, pedigree data, owner. Horses that continue one or another well-known breeding line reached the final of the competition.
Numerous fans of the "heavenly" horses could appreciate the amazing exterior of the descendants of the outstanding Akhal-Teke horses, who laid the main branches in the selective breeding of thoroughbred horses.
With a truly regal stature, the horses demonstrated their external data and training, conquering with chiseled lines and impeccable proportions.
The most beautiful Akhal-Teke horse of 2022 was recognized as the magnificent horse Melebash from the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, a descendant of Gerden and Elgamak, belonging to the line of the famous horse named Gyrsakar, born in 2015. On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, his seyis B. Juraev was awarded the main prize - the keys to a Lexus car, a challenge cup and a diploma.
Seyis expressed deep gratitude to the President of the country for the valuable award and the great attention paid to the breeding of "paradise" horses. Assuring that Turkmen horse breeders would continue their work in this direction with dignity, he wished the head of state good health and great success in his activities.
The names of the winners of the creative competition for the artistic embodiment of the image of the Turkmen horse in works of fine and decorative art, in publishing products, photographs and on TV channels were also announced here.
Akhal-Teke horses are an integral part of the national cultural heritage. The main idea of the creative competition is to show its natural splendor, unique qualities and a huge role in the life of the Turkmen people.
From ancient times to the present day, representatives of various types of art sing in their works love for a horse, its loyalty, grace, intelligence, racing virtues, and also perpetuate the talent of the people, because breeding such a perfect breed is the result of creativity, knowledge, patience and inexhaustible creative possibilities of many generations. In modern Turkmen art, "heavenly" horses have become the standard of beauty and harmony.
The best competition works were selected in accordance with the nominations - the most skillful carpet, jewelry, the best painting and sculpture of a horse, publishing products, photographs and TV spots.
Prizes on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov - Tolkun TVs and corresponding diplomas were awarded to the winners: People's Artist of Turkmenistan A. Gutlyev - for carpet works "The era of the people with Arkadag", "The century-old history of Turkmens", "Shagadam"; jeweler M. Annaev - for a set of horse jewelry; teacher of the State Academy of Arts B. Soltanov - for the painting "Turkmen horse".
Prizes on behalf of the head of state were also awarded to the teacher of the children's art school named after Nura Sara, Ak Bugday etrap, Akhal velayat P. Patdykov for the sculptural composition “Galkynysh Group: Akhan, Kanun, Ruhubelent”; a fifth-year student of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the State Academy of Arts Kh. Garadzhaev for the photo work “Portrait of Eve”; TV cameraman of the channel "Türkmen owazy" of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography B. Gylydzhov for the video "Beautiful horses".
The winners of the competition, expressing their sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for the high appreciation of their creative work, assured that they would make every effort and ability to increase the world fame of the "paradise" horses, embodying their image in their work.
The final part of the celebrations was the performances of popular performers who expressed in musical compositions the high feelings of pride and happiness experienced by the people of Turkmenistan.
