Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left on a festive trip to Dashoguz velayat, where the head of state was warmly welcomed at the International Airport with enthusiastic performances of creative song, music and dance groups.

As part of his trip to the Dashoguz velayat, the President of Turkmenistan got acquainted with the construction of the Balkan-Dashoguz overhead power line, as well as with the state of affairs in the livestock industry and on agricultural land in the northern region of the country.

The head of state arrived at the construction site of a 500kv power transmission line, the laying of which continues in the Dashoguz velayat.

A presentation of projects related to the electric power industry, which are planned for implementation in the coming years in order to create a ring energy system of Turkmenistan, which is important in strengthening the potential of the national economy, was held at the construction site.

Here, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch. Purchekov reported on these projects, ongoing work on their implementation, as well as on the location schemes of the relevant facilities.

Projects and schemes of the energy system of the country and its export directions, including those demonstrating the volumes and routes of supplies of Turkmen electricity to neighboring states, were submitted for consideration by the President of Turkmenistan. Along with this, schemes and projects for the transfer of the Dashoguz and Akhal state power plants to combined management, the location of a solar-wind power plant with a capacity of 10 megawatts in the Serdar etrap of the Balkan velayat, as well as the master plan and project of the Center for the repair and maintenance of power equipment in the Buzmeyinsky etrap were presented here. the city of Ashgabat.

Having familiarized himself with the projects, the head of state emphasized that the solution of all the tasks set in this direction is an important requirement of today. Emphasizing the need to keep under constant control issues related to equipping the objects of the ring energy system based on best practices, introducing the latest technologies and digital systems into its production structures, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave a number of specific instructions to the relevant leaders.

Then, wishing everyone success in their work, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov went to the livestock farm “Garagum” of the Gorogly etrap.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived at the pasture of shepherd camel breeder Atamyrat Ishanberdiev, located on the territory of the livestock farm “Garagum” of Gorogly etrap, who warmly welcomed the head of state.

The President of Turkmenistan inquired about the work of the shepherd, his herd, the state of the local pastures, as well as the family life of the breeder.

Atamyrat Ishanberdiev spoke with a sense of pride about the place that camels occupy in the life of the people, about the efforts being made to increase their livestock, and about the positive results achieved in this direction. Noting in particular that, being engaged in camel breeding, he gained prosperity and lives happily with his family, reaping the results of his work, the shepherd expressed his warm gratitude to the head of Turkmenistan for the opportunities provided for fruitful work.

Stressing that the state will always pay attention to the systematic improvement of the living and working conditions of the villagers, including livestock breeders, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the shepherd further success and presented him with gifts.

Then the head of state went by car to the helipad.

On the way, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, contemplating the expanses of the Karakums, drew attention to their amazing, unique flora.

Further, from the helicopter, from where a vast panorama of the water channels and the Turkmen and Shasenem rivers opens, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the state of irrigation systems in the agricultural areas of the region. In this context, it should be noted that the issues of rational water use in Turkmenistan are given priority. As long-term practice shows, the efficient use of water sources is of great importance in terms of public health, social and environmental well-being, and ensuring food abundance. 

Having taken an interest in the measures taken to supply the agricultural areas of the velayat and ensure the rational use of water resources, the head of state instructed the adviser to the President of Turkmenistan on agricultural issues A. Yazmyradov, who accompanied him, to continue consistent work to maintain the irrigation networks of the region in proper condition. At the same time, the need was emphasized for the reconstruction of the irrigation systems of cultivated lands and water facilities, as well as the construction of new reservoirs.

In accordance with the instructions given earlier by the President of Turkmenistan, program work is being carried out to improve the water supply of the country's agricultural lands, in particular, the Dashoguz velayat. In this regard, preparations are underway for the construction of a large artificial reservoir on one of the most favorable sections of the valley between the Shasen and Turkmen rivers, which originate from the Dueboyun reservoir.

The tasks outlined for the construction of reservoirs, improvement of the ameliorative state of irrigated lands through the use of innovative technologies are designed to improve water supply in the region. In this context, it is planned to lay out the channel of the Shasenem River with a concrete pavement.

The head of state ordered, taking into account the requirements of the time and based on the latest scientific achievements, to continue comprehensive work aimed at successfully solving problems in the field of strengthening food security and improving the reclamation state of agricultural areas.

In recent years, the country has accumulated solid experience in the development of agriculture and rational water use. In this context, systematic measures are being taken aimed at creating water reserves and favorable conditions for doing business, optimizing water supply in the country. Focusing on the importance of the steps taken in this direction, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the need to continue them on the basis of modern practical developments, addressing A. Yazmyradov with a number of specific instructions.

Upon completion of the flight, the Presidential helicopter landed at the Dashoguz International Airport.
