President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a videoconference meeting on the issues of ensuring comfortable and safe recreation of citizens on the Caspian coast in summer. Minister of Health and Medical Industry, Chairman of the Extraordinary Commission for Control over the Spread of Diseases, Head of the Recreation Management Center in the National Tourism Zone "Avaza" N. Amannepesov and Deputy Head of the Recreation Management Center, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs O. Hojaniyazov took part in the meeting.

Minister of Health and Medical Industry, Chairman of the Extraordinary Commission for Control over the Spread of Diseases, Head of the Recreation Management Center in the National Tourism Zone "Avaza" N. Amannepesov reported that, based on the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan, the necessary measures were taken to organize the effective work of the Recreation Management Center. In this regard, it was reported that those wishing to spend their summer holidays in NTZ "Avaza" purchase vacation packages in travel agencies or other relevant local structures.

To date, a total of 2,257 vacation packages were issued. The citizens who acquired them obtained permits from the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, were vaccinated against COVID-19 at special points located in Health Centers in the velayats and the Turkmen capital.

Ambulance stations were created in the Seýrana and Hazyna hotels in the Avaza NTZ. All hotel complexes of the seaside resort have pharmacies with a full range of necessary medicines. The hotel servants underwent medical examination and vaccination in accordance with the established procedure.

For citizens arriving to Avaza on vacation, hotel transport services are provided. Vacationers  will be tested for COVID-19 at the parking lot at the Avaza NTZ. A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) apparatus were installed in the Avaza etrap Health Center and the laboratory of the Turkmenbashi Sanitation and Disease Control Service. Thus, at present there are three apparatuses in the city of Turkmenbashi and NTZ "Avaza".

Commenting on the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Recreation Management Center to keep under the rigorous control the work carried out in the Avaza National Tourist Zone during the holiday season, from June 1 to September 1. At the same time, it is necessary to regularly analyze the epidemiological state of the resort.

Speaking about this, the President of Turkmenistan underlined that it was also necessary to ensure control over the execution of instructions by the relevant ministries and sectoral departments given at the meeting of the Extraordinary Commission for Control over the Spread of Diseases, held at the Avaza NTZ on May 14 this year.

Deputy Head of the Recreation Management Center, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs O. Hojaniyazov reported that in accordance with the procedures for organizing recreation at NTZ "Avaza", specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, and the State Migration Service would work at a round-the-clock checkpoint at the entrance to the tourist zone.

Purposeful steps are taken to ensure public order during the holiday season, observance of traffic rules and fire safety, and in this context - the effective use of specialized equipment, and in particular, video surveillance systems. There is also a day-night shift of lifeguards. Comprehensive work was carried out to timely resolve organizational issues.

In case of any questions, citizens can get the information in the branches of the Recreation Management Center in the hyakimliks of the Turkmen capital and velayats. For those wishing to have a rest in the NTZ "Avaza", awareness-raising activities were held.

Commenting on the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the importance to create optimal conditions for a safe summer holiday of Turkmen people in the resort area on the Caspian coast, and for this purpose - strict observance by all the rules and requirements and sanitary standards established in the Avaza NTZ. In this context, the President of Turkmenistan  instructed to ensure proper work of the checkpoint.
