From September 12 to 15, 2022, a series of events was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, focusing on special economic zones, supply chain connectivity and resilient border operations. The events were organized by the Asian Development Bank under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Trade Sector Program. The serviceman of the Ashgabat city customs represented the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan at these events.

The events included a forum on the development of sustainable economic zones in the CAREC region, round tables on developing regional trade, transport and logistics: supply chain connectivity and border operations in the CAREC region. The Zamyn-Uud Free Zone Business Forum was also held, presenting the current achievements in the Zamyn-Uud Free Zone and the ADB project.

Speaking at the events, a representative of the State Customs Service shared information about the activities of the customs authorities of Turkmenistan aimed at simplifying and automating customs procedures, introducing digital technologies, in particular, about the project “Single window for export-import operations”, as well as about the launch of the TIR-EPD application .
