The Head of the Training Center under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and employees of the personnel departments of the Central Office and the Dashoguz Velayat Customs took part in the Regional Seminar on the creation of a framework structure of customs competencies, held in Astana, Kazakhstan on June 13-15, 2023.
Organized as part of the Border Management Assistance Program (BOMCA), it was aimed at developing methodological recommendations for creating a structure of customs competencies necessary for a systematic approach to training and advanced training of customs officers.
During the regional seminar, the practice of the EU and the Central Asian countries in the implementation of the training system for customs officers was presented, based on the development of the necessary competencies for the high-quality performance of labor duties.
The head of the Training Center in his presentation noted that in the year held under the slogan “Happy youth with Arkadag Serdar” and which coincides with the theme put forward by the World Customs Organization for 2023 “Raising a new generation: Forming a culture of knowledge sharing and professional pride in customs authorities”, the Training Center under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, when introducing new approaches in the education and training of personnel, focuses on the psychological well-being and moral and psychological stability of employees. This is a program that includes measures such as interviews with family members, improving the living conditions of employees, cultural and educational activities such as visiting museums, watching patriotic films, etc. This approach contributes to the improvement of the management culture.
