On June 27, 2023, a meeting of representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic took place via videoconference, during which the parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation.

Emphasis was placed on the issue of starting joint work on preparing for the signing of a bilateral interstate agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs, which will lay the foundation for the development of cooperation between the two departments.

During the meeting, the parties also considered the project proposed by the Kyrgyz side to launch preliminary information about goods and vehicles moved between Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to further build up and develop bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the development of trade and economic relations between the two states.
