Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the hyakims of velayats to consider issues related to the development of the country’s regions, as well as the progress of agricultural work.

The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the pace of seasonal campaigns in the region.

As was reported, at present, everything necessary is done to harvest the wheat crop without loss, as well as its timely transportation from collection points to elevators. Ploughing and leveling are carried out on the vacated areas in order to prepare them for the next sowing season.

Along with this, care for cotton continues in accordance with the agro-technical requirements.

Preparations are underway for the sowing of potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.

The khyakim also reported on the progress of construction of social and industrial facilities as part of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program, to be put into operation this year.

Having heard the report, and emphasizing the importance of performing seasonal agricultural work in strict compliance with agro-technical standards, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave the governor of the region specific instructions.

Then Balkan Velayat Acting Khyakim J. Annaev reported on the dynamics of seasonal campaigns in the region.

As was reported, the harvested wheat crop is delivered in a timely manner from collection points to elevators. In order to prepare for the next sowing season, the lands vacated from wheat are ploughed and leveled by operating agricultural machinery at full capacity.

Treatment is carried out in the fields sown to cotton in strict compliance with the agro-technical requirements, in particular, the third and fourth inter-row cultivation, irrigation and application of mineral fertilizers.

The gathering of potatoes and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops continues with the subsequent delivery to retail outlets. At the same time, measures are taken to prepare the areas for the autumn sowing and the selection of seed stock.

The deputy prime minister informed that rice is cared for in the Dashoguz and Lebap Velayats, and sugar beet is planted in the Mary Velayat.

Having heard the report, and emphasizing the importance of carrying out seasonal field campaigns in strict accordance with agro-technical standards, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to control the optimal completion time of preparing areas for the upcoming sowing of agricultural crops, including autumn, caring for cotton and rice crops, and sowing sugar beet.

Addressing the working meeting participants, the head of state focused on the need for a responsible approach to dealing with the problems in agriculture, instructing to ensure the high quality of measures taken in this respect.
