On September 18, 2023, a delegation of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation arrived in Ashgabat for a two-day visit.

The meeting of the joint working group took place in the afternoon at the Central Office of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of implementation of the Joint Action Plan and considered priority areas of cooperation. In particular, the draft Agreement on the mutual recognition of relevant institutions of an authorized economic operator, the Agreement between the Federal Customs Service of Russia and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan on the organization of a simplified procedure for carrying out customs operations when moving goods and vehicles between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, issues of information exchange of preliminary information, personnel training and other questions.

Tomorrow, September 19, a visit to the International Customs Terminal and negotiations at the customs department of the city of Arkadag are planned.
