President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left on a working visit to the United States of America with a view of participation in the 78^th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization, which is held in New York. At the international airport of Ashgabat the head of the state was seen off by officials.

Being attached to the policy of peaceful disposition, positive neutrality and wide international cooperation, Turkmenistan steadily follows its chosen course, developing the meaningful dialogue both at the interstate level and in the format of the authoritative international organisations. Thus, a great significance is given to partnership with the United Nations, which bears a strategic character. Based on the gained wide experience and potential, at the present stage this multivector interaction assumes a new quality and content.

A dynamic development is inherent in fruitful contacts of our country with UN specialized agencies. In Ashgabat the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), opened at the initiative of the Turkmen party operates. All this speaks of acknowledgement of an active participation of Turkmenistan in efforts of the world community in development of balanced solutions for urgent issues of regional and global agenda.

This responsible position and as a whole the foreign policy strategy of our fatherland initiated by Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov nowadays realised under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, received a wide recognition and support of the United Nations Organization. The fact of regular election of Turkmenistan to the structure of leading profile structures of the United Nations also attests to it . It is also remarkable that our country was repeatedly elected vice-chairman of sessions of the UN General Assembly.

Thus, relations between Turkmenistan and Community of the Nations develop in the atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructability inherent in them. And the present visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to New York, where the United Nations Headquarters is located, - one more acknowledgement of aspiration of our fatherland consistently to strengthen and increase versatile partnership, which is based on principles of equality, mutual respect and long term.

Neutral Turkmenistan in practice shows readiness to direct its peace-making and creative potential for the blessing of all humanity. The specific proposals, which are regularly put forward by our country from the tribune of the United Nations Organization, also testify to this fact. The urgency and demand of these initiatives confirms a number of the resolutions accepted by the UN General Assembly.

… Having made many hours of flight to New York, the presidential airliner landed at the John F. Kennedy International Airport. There officials met the head of the state. From the airport, the President of Turkmenistan proceeded to the residence designated for him for the period of his visit.

As known, the General Assembly founded in 1945 according to the Charter of the United Nations Organization, is the main deliberative, policymaking and representative organ. It represents a universal forum for multilateral discussion of all spectrum of international issues. Traditionally within the limits of each session, meetings and conferences of high level are held with participation of heads of states and governments.

At the 78^th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization the new initiatives of Turkmenistan aimed at maintenance of peace and security on the planet, achievement of sustainable development goals proclaimed by the United Nations, including the strengthening of international cooperation in such areas as power, transport, ecology and climate change and humanitarian sphere will be sounded.

Within the visit, participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the Summit in the format of Central Asia-United States of America “С5+1” is also planned. Along with it, the head of the state will hold a number of bilateral meetings, including one with the Secretary General of the United Nations.

Thus, putting into practice the creative state policy, whose priorities are consonant with key goals and objectives of the United Nations, acting from positions of peaceful disposition, good neighbourhood and humanism, Turkmenistan brings an effective contribution to development of effective international cooperation, development of mutually acceptable solutions, called to promote stimulation of positive regional and global processes for the sake of general well-being and progress.
