Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of velayats to review the progress of seasonal field work in the country.
The floor was first given to the Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hojagulyev, who reported on the pace of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
As was reported, currently the wheat caring and land leveling and planning works are carried out in accordance with agro-technical standards to prepare for sowing cotton. Agricultural machinery and equipment to be operated in the upcoming season, as well as high-quality seeds for cotton growers are prepared.
Along with this, the necessary measures are taken to plant potatoes, onions, and other vegetable, watermelon and melon crops within the agro-technical deadlines.
Land and planting stock are prepared for the organized conduct of the spring sowing campaign.
The report included information on the implementation in the velayat of the provisions outlined for this year in the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers up to 2028.
Having heard the report, and emphasizing the importance of the timely completion of seasonal agricultural activities in accordance with the agro-technical requirements, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to ensure a high level of preparation for sowing cotton and vegetable crops, as well as caring for wheat.
The President of Turkmenistan ordered to keep under control the implementation of work planned for this year in the region under the National Rural Program and the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028.
Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.
As was reported, these days, activities are underway to organize cotton sowing, prepare agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as high-quality seeds adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of the region.
Wheat care and vegetation irrigation continue in the fields of the velayat according to agro-technical standards.
In addition, measures are taken to timely plant potatoes, onions and other vegetable crops.
Steps are taken to prepare lands and tree seedlings for the upcoming trees planting campaign.

Having heard the report, and pointing out the need to carry out seasonal agricultural work in wheat fields in compliance with the agro-technical requirements, the head of state instructed the khyakim to ensure a high organizational level of preparation for sowing cotton, and supply cotton growers with high-quality seeds.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the successful implementation of programs aimed at socio-economic development of the country, and gave a number of instructions in this regard.
The working meeting via a digital system was continued with the report from Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the progress of agricultural work in the region.
As was reported, fields sown to wheat are treated in accordance with agro-technical standards. Land leveling and vegetation irrigation continue as part of preparing areas for cotton sowing.
Work is also carried out to prepare agricultural machinery and equipment for the spring season, provide cotton growers with high-quality cotton seeds adapted to the natural and climatic conditions of the region.
At the same time, the plowing of lands allocated for potatoes, onions and other crops has been completed in the velayat, and vegetation irrigation and seed stocking are in progress.
Measures are taken to successfully carry out the spring trees planting campaign, in particular, areas for planting trees are determined and seedlings are prepared.
In addition, the governor of the region reported on the progress of implementing the provisions outlined for the current year in the National Rural Program.
Summing up the report, the head of state focused on the importance of preparation for the upcoming season and instructed the khyakim to ensure proper care for wheat and preparation for the cotton sowing within the agro-technical deadlines, as well as supplying farmers with high-quality cotton seeds.

Addressing the governors of velayats, the head of state once again highlighted the importance of carrying out current agricultural work in accordance with the agro-technical requirements and proper preparation for sowing, giving a number of instructions in this regard.
