On May 14, 2024, the Joint Conference of Turkmenistan and the European Union “30 years of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union: working together for a better future” was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Within the framework of the conference, at the panel session "Demonstration of successful partner projects in the field of security", an employee of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan made a presentation on projects implemented jointly with the "Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia (BOMCA)", funded by the European Union. He noted about the work done within the Program, and the achieved results.

The duties of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan include carrying out customs operations and control at the border, and at the same time creating favorable conditions for facilitating international trade. In these areas, the State Customs Service also cooperates with the BOMCA program. To date, many joint projects have been implemented. From 2023 to the present, 209 representatives of our Service participated in various regional national trainings and conferences held within the framework of the Program.
