On March 26, 2026, a joint training seminar was held via videoconference between the Training Center of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Customs Institute of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The event was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on personnel training between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the joint training, the participants exchanged experience on the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) system, which is widely used in customs practice. The discussions highlighted the significant role of this system in facilitating international trade and ensuring reliable control over goods and vehicles crossing the customs border.

It should be noted that the Training Center of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan has been granted the status of a Regional Training Center of the World Customs Organization. This provides broad opportunities for training customs specialists, enhancing their professional skills, and strengthening cooperation with training institutions of customs services in the region.

At the end of the seminar, the importance of joint activities aimed at improving professional capacity and studying advanced international practices in the customs field was emphasized.
