Yesterday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via a digital link with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and khyakims of the velayats, at which issues related to the progress of agricultural campaigns in the regions and the implementation of the objectives set in this area were considered.

The President of the country first gave the floor to Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the measures to complete the cotton sowing in a timely manner and obtain uniform sprouting, carrying out appropriate treatment work in the cotton fields, application of mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation of lands sown to grain, as well as on pest control and prevention of various diseases.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that the time has come to prepare for the harvest, one of the most important agricultural seasons, instructing in this regard to prepare high-performance combines, vehicles and other units that will be operated during the upcoming campaign, as well as grain receiving points.

In view of the ongoing cocoon production season, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov strictly demanded to step up work on the care for silkworm caterpillars.

The President of Turkmenistan focused on reducing the pace of construction of industrial and social facilities, residential buildings, water treatment and drainage facilities in the velayat being carried out as part of the National Rural Program and the Program on Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2019-2025.

For the shortcomings in the work to implement the National Rural Program, the head of state reprimanded Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, instructing him to rectify them as soon as possible.

The khyakim, taking into account the request of the population, addressed the head of state with a proposal to build a mosque and premises for a sadaqat in the city of Anau, the administrative center of the velayat.

In this regard, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted that the construction of a mosque and premises for a sadaqat is a noble cause. Having approved this proposal, the head of Turkmen state instructed, taking into account the wishes of the population, to carry out appropriate work.

Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim T. Atakhallyev reported on the steps taken to obtain uniform sprouting, carry out the necessary agro-technical measures in the cotton fields of the region.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the stepping up of cotton sowing and its completion within the agro-technical terms are an important requirement of this agricultural season, giving a number of instructions.

Then the khyakim, taking into account the wishes of the population, addressed the head of state with a proposal to build a mosque and premises for a sadaqat in the city of Khazar.

Having approved this proposal, the head of Turkmen state, guided by the wishes of the people, instructed to carry out the relevant work.

The working meeting was continued with the report of Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim N. Nazarmyradov on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns being carried out these days in the region, including on accelerating the pace of cotton sowing and completing it within agro-technical terms, and carrying out relevant work in the cotton fields.

The head of state demanded to keep under constant control the work on growing high yields of potatoes, other vegetables and gourds, supplying markets with these products.

The President of Turkmenistan reprimanded the khyakim for shortcomings in rice cultivation and implementation of the National Rural Program in the velayat, instructing him to rectify them as soon as possible.

The khyakim, taking into account the wishes of the population, addressed the head of state with a proposal to build a mosque and premises for a sadaqat in Ruhubelent etrap.

Having approved the proposal, the head of state instructed, guided by the wishes of the population, to carry out work in this respect.

Then the working meeting via a digital link was continued with the report of Lebap Velayat Khyakim Sh. Amangeldiyev, who reported on the steps to complete the cotton sowing within agro-technical terms, and obtaining uniform sprouting. Appropriate work is underway where there are already seedlings.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to keep under constant control the issues related to stepping up the pace of cotton sowing and completing it within agro-technical terms, carrying out inter-row cultivation and thinning seedlings, and cleaning weeds.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the need to focus on the construction of social facilities, residential buildings, roads, water treatment and sewerage facilities, provided for by the National Rural Program and the Program on Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2019-2025, and gave a number of specific instructions.

The khyakim also addressed the head of state with a proposal to build a mosque in Dovletli etrap with premises for a sadaqat next to it.

The head of state, having approved the proposal, instructed to carry out appropriate work in this area, taking into account the wishes of the people.

Mary Velayat Khyakim D. Annaberdiev reported on the progress of cotton sowing in the region, agricultural work in cotton fields, where seedlings have already sprouted.

Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of accelerating the pace of cotton sowing and completing it within agro-technical terms, and where seedlings have already sprouted, to carry out inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding. Watering and fertilizing must be performed in the required scope.

Further at the working meeting, the President of Turkmenistan gave the floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiev. The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the work ongoing in the agro-industrial complex of the country and on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the fields.

In order to complete the sowing of cotton as soon as possible and obtain uniform sprouting on the sown areas, work is well under way in the prescribed manner. The cultivation of cotton in the fields of the regions is carried out in accordance with agro-technical rules. The report included information on the proper treatment of the wheat fields.

In addition, it was reported that program work is underway to grow high yields of potatoes and other vegetables and fruits to supply the country’s markets with these products in abundance.

It is important to take appropriate measures to protect crops from pests and diseases, the head of state said and gave the deputy prime minister a number of specific instructions.

In addition, the head of Turkmen state pointed out the need to accelerate the pace of wheat care in the velayats in order to increase its yields and fully provide the population of the country.
