The outstanding philosophical and literary work “Ömrümiň manysy”, which the nation’s leader completed during his vacation days, is a kind of quintessence of wisdom and native national spiritual and moral values handed down by the Turkmen people from generation to generation for millennia.
Deeply honoring the noble spiritual foundations of his ancestors that have come down from ancient times, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thoroughly studied the sources and information that have survived to this day, systematized and summarized them in his new work, which at the time of writing has already aroused interest from the world community. After all, the highly humane universal principles, which have found a vivid embodiment in the national character and mentality of the Turkmen, lively resonate among many peoples of the world.
Published this year under the deeply symbolic motto “The Epoch of the People with Arkadag”, the book, being unique in its content and meaning, summarizes information about the achievements of independent neutral Turkmenistan, as well as about significant historical milestones of the state and the main stages of the national leader’s life, who devoted himself to serving his beloved Motherland and native people.
The work, generated by the genius of the Hero-Arkadag, highlights the main moral postulates, the relevance of which testifies to the continuity of traditions and spiritual precepts of the current and previous generations.
In his introductory speech, the author, honorary elder of the nation, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasizes that it is the duty of every person to think not only about the path he has traveled, but also about what needs to be done in his later life.
After analyzing his accumulated knowledge and experience, the nation’s leader summarized them in another philosophical work, paying special attention to the issues of perfection of spirituality, the laws of the universe, the best character traits and bright thoughts that elevate every person.
The book consists of several chapters, the titles of which themselves announce their deep content: “The Culture of Being”; “The Word about Faith”; “Primordial Principles Rooted in the Depths of Millennia”; “A Backward Look”; “Pilgrimage to the Holy Mecca and Medina”; “The Spiritual and Moral School of the Nation”.
The masterful literary presentation, the use of folklore, catch phrases, wise sayings of philosophers and outstanding personalities of the past increase the value and significance of the work, which, without a doubt, will serve as a key to understanding the rich spiritual world of Turkmens, who, as centuries ago, are forging bridges of friendship and mutual respect with the peoples of the planet.
The book “Ömrümiň manysy” is intended for a wide range of readers who will be interested in ‘plunging’ into the history of Turkmens, learning a lot of new and informative things about the foundations of moral life, the origin and spread of science, education and culture, as well as about the peaceful and creative principles of the people inherited from the time of the ancestor Oguz Khan.
Interesting facts can be gleaned about the life and oracles bequeathed to descendants of authoritative representatives of Sufism, religious and political figures, talented poets and humanists, including Abu Seyit Abul Khayyr (Myane Baba), Khoja Ahmet Yasawi, Necmeddin Kubra, Bahaveddin Nagyshbendi and others. The biggest chapter entitled “A Backward Look” is devoted to this topic.
As the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who laid the foundations for a happy life for the present and future generations of Turkmen citizens, invariably emphasizes, “It is necessary to build the future only based on the past”.
Truly priceless in meaning and content, the work of the Hero-Arkadag became a vivid illustration of the large-scale, painstaking scientific and literary activity carried out on his initiative for the systematic collection, detailed study and popularization of the great heritage of glorious ancestors who made a significant contribution to the development of global civilization.
Our people have something to be proud of. Emphasizing this, the leader of the nation in his concluding remarks noted that a lot of wise admonitions and ideas that he would like to share with the readership will also be included in a new continuation book “Ömrümiň manysynyň dowamaty”.
The next outstanding historical and philosophical work, which came out from the pen of the Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and just recently published by the Turkmen State Publishing Service at a high printing level, will certainly become a spiritual support and a beacon for our people, illuminating the way to achieving great goals in the Era of the Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State.
