At the III meeting of the International Association “Türkmen alabaý itleri”, which was held in Ashgabat on October 27 in honor of the Turkmen Alabay Holiday, in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the country’s best dog handlers were awarded the honorary title «Türkmenistanyň at gazanan itşynasy» (Honored Dog Breeder of Turkmenistan).

Among awarded is an officer of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, Lieutenant Colonel Gurbannazar Gurbannazarovich Ezizov.

The honorary title «Türkmenistanyň at gazanan itşynasy» is awarded for great success in keeping, raising, breeding and glorifying Alabays in the world. The Turkmen Alabay is one of the oldest dog breeds, which is a national treasure of Turkmenistan along with the Akhal-Teke horses.

Protection of the historical and cultural heritage of our country is one of the most important tasks of customs authorities and Turkmen customs officers carry out their service with pride and dignity in fulfilling their duty.
