On August 20-22, 2024, a visit to exchange experience on cargo control was held within the network of women experts of the joint program "Control of Container Transport" of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the World Customs Organization. The visit to the Kingdom of Thailand was organized for female customs officials of Central Asian countries.

The purpose of the event is to familiarize with the working practices of the Port Control Teams operating in Bangkok and Laem Chabang ports in terms of container control, to develop cooperation between the two regions, and to activate the interaction within the network of female professionals of the "Container Transport Control" program.

Female employees of the customs offices of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan participated in the experience exchange visit.

The representatives met with the members of the Port control team operating in Bangkok and Laem Chabang seaports, they exchanged experiences and saw the work of the ports, the use of information technology, customs control equipment installed there, and the control of containers and railway wagons. They were closely acquainted with the work of the Port Control Teams established in 2015, especially the work of the women members of the teams.

The exchange trip to the Kingdom of Thailand ended with a visit to the Customs Academy in Bangkok. The director and teachers of the Academy spoke there and introduced the organization of work at the Customs Academy. Also, a press conference was held here with female employees working in leadership positions in the Thai customs office.
