A working meeting of experts on the comparison of customs statistics data on mutual trade in goods between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan was held from August 27 to 29, 2024. The event was held in the city of Turkmenabat in the building of the Lebap velayat customs.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the methodologies for the formation of foreign trade statistics data used by the customs services of both countries, and also compared the data of customs statistics of foreign trade in the directions of "export of Uzbekistan - import of Turkmenistan" and "import of Uzbekistan - export of Turkmenistan" based on the results of 2023.

The meeting was organized within the framework of the Protocol between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the exchange of information on the movement of goods in mutual trade between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 14, 2022.
