On February 1, 2025, the Turkmen side signed the Technical Conditions for the information exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles transported between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The document was developed as part of the implementation of the provisions of the Agreement between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the organization of the exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles transported between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan dated October 25, 2021.

According to the document, the composition of information to be transferred between the customs services of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan was approved. The procedure, formats, methods and regulations for the exchange of information were determined.

The implementation of preliminary information will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, a test and launch of the exchange of export declarations will be carried out, and in the second stage, a test and launch of the exchange of transit declarations will be carried out.

It is expected that the provision of advance cargo information and the exchange of information will help to expedite customs procedures when moving goods between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
