Yesterday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online working meeting with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E.Orazgeldiev, who oversees the agro-industrial sector, and velayats’ khyakims, which reviewed the progress of seasonal field work in the country’s regions, as well as preparations for the celebration of the upcoming significant dates.

The head of state gave the first floor to the khyakim of Akhal velayat Ya.Gurbanov, who reported on the state of affairs in the region, the measures taken for the organized start of the harvest season, cotton crops tending in accordance with agro-technical standards and the modernization of social infrastructure. 

In addition, comprehensive steps, aimed at growing rich harvests of potatoes and vegetable crops, are being taken, as well as at the successful completion of the cocoon production season.

The head of the regional administration reported on the work within the framework of the tasks outlined in the National Rural Program to accelerate the pace of construction and timely commissioning of socio-cultural, industrial facilities and engineering structures.

It was also reported about the preparation of cultural events for the upcoming significant dates.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the need to create appropriate conditions for the organized start, optimal conduct and early completion of an important season in the life of grain growers – the grain harvesting campaign. Along with this, it was emphasized the importance of compliance with the norms of agricultural technology in the cotton tending, and the implementation of preventive measures to control pests and plant diseases.

Emphasizing the importance of timely and high-quality implementation of agro-technical measures in potato and vegetable fields, which is the key to their high yields, the head of state addressed specific instructions to the khyakim on the organization of work carried out in this direction.

Among the main requirements, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov outlined the completion of the cocoon harvesting season on time and the full implementation of the relevant contractual obligations.

Noting that the state attaches priority importance to solving issues of socio-economic development of the regions, the country’s President ordered to pay unflagging attention to ensuring high quality construction and timely commissioning of socio-cultural and industrial facilities.

Separate instructions related to holding high-level events on the occasion of upcoming holidays – International Children’s Day, World Bicycle Day and World Environment Day.

Further, the khyakim of Balkan velayat, T.Atahallyev, reported on the state of affairs on the agricultural lands of the region, preparations for the start of the harvest season, as well as on the comprehensive steps taken to care for cotton.

As reported, work aimed at obtaining high yields of potatoes, vegetables and melons continues, as well as the timely completion of the cocoon harvesting season and the implementation of the established schedule. 

The head of the regional administration also reported on the pace of construction of socio-cultural and industrial facilities in the region, in particular, on measures to complete their construction according to the established schedule.

There was information about the preparations for the upcoming significant dates and the festive events timed to them.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the khyakim to ensure the uninterrupted and high-performance operation of combine harvesters and transport for the carriage of harvested grain, and receiving points.

Having focused attention on the need to perform work according to the requirements of the time and to use agricultural machinery and aggregates at full capacity when processing cotton fields, the head of state also gave a number of relevant instructions to the khyakim.

Today, the issues of growing early potatoes and fruit and vegetable crops are particularly relevant in order to fully provide the domestic market with these products. Every effort should be made to obtain good yields of these crops.

The country’s President noted that it is necessary to take the essential measures for the optimal completion of the cocoon harvesting season – valuable raw materials, the implementation of the scheduled plan, giving specific instructions to khyakim.

The head of state instructed to keep under strict control the pace of construction of socio-cultural and industrial facilities, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year, and to ensure timely execution and high quality of work.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to prepare the solemn events scheduled for June, timed to the significant dates at a high level.

The working meeting via the digital system continued with a report by the khyakim of Dashoguz velayat N.Nazarmyradov on the state of affairs in the region, preparations for the wheat harvest, and care for cotton crops. 

Information was given about the measures being taken to grow potatoes and vegetables in order to provide them to the population, as well as to accelerate the pace of construction of facilities, the delivery of which is scheduled this year.

Comprehensive work is carried out on a worthy meeting and celebration of significant dates that are of great importance in the life of our society. A cultural program of festive events has been prepared.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the low pace of work carried out in agriculture in the region and expressed dissatisfaction with the level of their organization.

The President of the country focused on the importance of the wheat harvest season, instructing to take all measures to ensure the smooth functioning of combine harvesters, vehicles for transporting the harvested crop and receiving points.

The head of state highlighted that proper care of cotton crops, the use of machinery and aggregates at full capacity are the key to future high yields. At the same time, farmers should be provided with mineral and other fertilizers to the required extent. The control of plant pests and their spread should be carried out in accordance with agro-technical requirements.

The President of Turkmenistan noted that the issues of food abundance in the region are relevant today. In this regard, it is necessary to ensure high yields of early potatoes and other fruit and vegetable crops to supply the domestic market and meet the needs of the population with local products, the head of state said, giving khyakim a number of specific instructions.

The construction of socio-cultural and industrial facilities should be under the constant supervision of the head of the regional administration.

The President of the country also focused on the preparation and celebration of significant dates reflecting the happy life of the people, the rapid development of the Motherland. Khyakim was assigned to properly prepare the celebrations and hold them at a high level.

Then the khyakim of Lebap velayat Sh.Amangeldiev reported on the carried out agricultural work in the region, the measures taken to organize the harvest of wheat, the cultivation of high yields of potatoes and other vegetables and provide the population with them in full.

There was information about the pace of construction of various purpose facilities, the opening of which is planned for the current year. Much attention should be paid to the high quality of construction work and timely commissioning of structures.

Khyakim said that work on the delivery of harvested cocoons to processing plants in accordance with the requirements of today continues in the region.

It was also reported upon the ongoing preparations for the celebration of the upcoming significant dates.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that wheat harvesting should be kept under constant and strict control, all combine harvesters and vehicles for grain transportation should work at full capacity. At the same time, the readiness of reception points should be checked. The activities of special groups created to monitor the organization and progress of the harvest must also meet the specified requirements.

The head of state noted that along with the care for the cotton crops, machinery and aggregates should be used at full capacity, mineral fertilizers and pest control products should be supplied to the fields. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also asked about the ongoing preparations for the start of rice sowing.

In order to obtain high yields of early potatoes and other fruit and vegetable crops, it is important to observe all the rules of agricultural technology and apply them in a timely manner. The products grown by the hard work of farmers must be collected in a timely manner and sent to the country’s markets, thereby ensuring their abundance. In this context, the issues of increasing soil fertility and farming standards, the use of water-saving technologies are of great importance.

Currently, the necessary efforts are being made to grow a rich harvest of potatoes and vegetable crops on agricultural lands and to provide domestic markets with these products. Thus, the farmers of the region effectively use the opportunities afforded to them by the state. At the same time, cocoons, produced by silkworm breeders of the velayat, are being handed over to processing enterprises at an accelerated pace.

In accordance with the National Rural Program, as well as the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the country for 2019-2025, comprehensive measures are being taken to strengthen the pace of construction in the region and timely commissioning of cultural and industrial facilities planned for the current year.

It was reported that everything necessary is being done to prepare for the events dedicated to the upcoming significant dates.

After hearing the report, the head of state noted the importance of preparing at the proper level for the beginning of the harvest, using appropriate resources. Underlining the importance of ensuring the smooth operation of combine harvesters, vehicles for the transportation of harvested crops, grain receiving points, the country’s President addressed specific instructions to khyakim.

Emphasizing that the main condition for today is the cotton tending according to agro-technical standards, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said that agricultural machinery and aggregates should be used at full capacity in this work, and it is also important to carry out preventive measures to combat pests and diseases and gave a number of instructions to khyakim.

The head of state assigned to keep under constant control the work on growing potatoes and vegetable crops and to provide the population with these products in full.

Special attention should be paid to the issues of accelerating the pace of construction of cultural, household and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year in the velayat, the President noted.

Speaking about the cocoon production season, the Deputy Prime Minister reported that in Akhal and Balkan velayats, cocoon harvesting continues in accordance with the established deadlines.

After hearing the report, the country’s President noted the importance of preparing for the organized start of the harvest – an important season in agriculture, as well as its completion at a high level and on schedule with the use of all required resources.

Obtaining a high yield of cotton and other crops directly depends on the compliance of agricultural work with agro-technical standards, which is the main requirement of today. In this regard, it is necessary to approach the implementation of the tasks with full responsibility.
