Yesterday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has made a holiday trip to Mary region, where he familiarized himself with implementation of the State program for socio-economic development of regions, the course of seasonal activities carried out in agricultural fields, modernization of industrial infrastructure as well as fulfilment of tasks proceeding from the National rural redevelopment program.

In the morning, the presidential airplane headed for Mary from the international airport of the capital.

At the airport of the administration centre of the region, the head of the state was welcomed with great inspiration.

Khyakim of Mary region D.Annaberdiev reported President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on successful fulfilment of grain production plans by tenant grain growers of Tagtabazar district.

Having received the report, the head of Turkmenistan congratulated agriculturists with their labour victory expressing confidence that grain growers of Mary region will successfully fulfil their grain production plans.

Having thanked all for a warm welcome, the head of the state headed by car from the airport towards the sown areas of "Türkmenistan” farm association of Vekilbazar district.

The car of the President of Turkmenistan stopped at the field of tenant grain grower Atageldi Erniyazov.

Arkadagly Serdar observed the wheat field with formed ears under the wave of light wind as well as wheat harvesting combines placed here, which will be operated during the grain harvesting campaign.

Having greeted the tenant farmer, the head of the state was interested in his daily work, varieties of crops he grows as well as his family state.

As the agriculturist told, for 15 years he has been engaged in tenant farming. The field with a total area of 55 hectares, where his family works, is sown with wheat and they expect to gather 40-45 centners of grain per hectare. They are also engaged in growing cotton, potato and other fruits and vegetables. Every year they yield a rich harvest of various crops and fulfil their production plans. It has become a pledge of growth of family welfare.

During the conversation, the head of the state inquired the peasant after conditions of his work, especially the state of supply with land, water, high quality seeds and fertilizers, exploitation of agricultural machinery and payment for the produced harvest.

Further, the tenant farmer asked the President of Turkmenistan to give his blessing to start the grain harvesting. The head of the state with “bismilla” cut the bundle of ripened full-grown ears of wheat and wished the agriculturist a rich harvest. The gathered also followed his example.

It was there that the head of the state talked to research worker of the agricultural scientific production centre of the Turkmen agricultural institute, scientist B.Novruzov, who informed on the successful research work carried out in the centre for many years. New large-grained, disease resistant and high yielding species of wheat have been developed there as well. The research agronomist also added that from every hectare of new species of bearded and unbearded wheat, which ripen for 200-210 days, one can gather 55-60 centners of grain.

In this connection, B.Novruzov asked President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to give names to new varieties of wheat. Arkadagly Serdar noted that the seeds developed by local scientists are the fruits of the era of Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State. In this connection, it will be appropriate to name them “Berkarar” and “Galkynysh”, which meet the spirit of today, the head of Turkmenistan said wishing research agronomists new successes in their noble work.

Further, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov familiarized himself with the exhibition organized there, which displayed varieties of seeds of cotton and wheat as well as bakery products made from the flour of new harvest. The exhibition visually attests to the ensuring of food abundance in the country.

…In some time, the car of the President of Turkmenistan comes to the main mosque “Gurbanguly hajy“ in the region located in one of the beautiful places of Mary city.

In the spiritual home, the teperrik brought from the holy Mecca was placed. The President of Turkmenistan noted expediency to pass it in turn to mosques of other regions. This relic was given to Arkadagly Serdar as keepsake from the Kaaba during the holy hajj to Saudi Arabia, which is respected in the Islamic world.

Having thanked the elders for prayers and sincere wishes, the President of Turkmenistan warmly bid farewell to the gathered and by car proceeded to the place of opening ceremony of the venue designated for holding mass festivities for 3 thousand persons located next to the building “Türkmeniň ak öýi”, making a unique ensemble with it.

To the joint applauds of the gathered, the head of Turkmenistan cuts a symbolic ribbon. The new magnificent project is open!

Here, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the festive sadaka.

Participants of the festive sadaka were treated to various national meals. Symbolizing unity and consolidation of our people, adherence to noble traditions, events held under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan displays development of goodwill principles in keeping with the present time.

Further, having left the newly built building, Arkadagly Serdar handed the khyakim of Mary region keys to new vehicles.

On the same day, in the mosque “Gurbanguly hajy” where the teperrik given to the President of Turkmenistan during his pilgrimage to the holy Kaaba for fulfilment of the Umra hajj obligation, was placed, the Friday prayer was performed.

In the special premise next to the mosque “Gurbanguly hajy “the sadaka was given. The gathered expressed their deep acknowledgment to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov praying the almighty to accept their sadaka as well as to bless further development of our country and happy life of our people.
