Yesterday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an online working meeting with the participation of Cabinet Deputy Chairman A.Yazmyradov, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and velayats’ khyakims to consider the progress of seasonal field work in the country, as well as issues of socio-economic development of the regions.
The head of state gave the first floor to Akhal velayat khyakim Ya.Gurbanov, who reported on the measures taken to organize the wheat harvest without losses, accurate settlement with grain growers for the harvest, as well as plowing the land after mowing-time in accordance with agro-technical requirements.
After hearing the report, the country’s President underlined that it is important to make every effort to fulfill the tasks set, not to weaken the pace of mowing-time and take measures to harvest wheat to the last grain. The head of state noted the need for timely settlements with grain growers for the harvest handed over to the state, addressing a number of instructions to the khyakim. Arable work should be carried out on the vacated lands according to agro-technical requirements.
Emphasizing that one of the most important tasks facing agricultural producers is the supply of potatoes, vegetables and other domestic products to the population, Arkadagly Serdar noted the importance of an integrated approach to the implementation of work in this direction and gave a number of orders.
Highlighting the importance of transferring agricultural lands from remote territories to cultivated areas of the velayat, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov urged not to delay the resolution of this issue.
The meeting continued with the report of Balkan velayat khyakim, T.Atakhallyev, on the measures taken to harvest wheat till the last ear, to make timely payments with grain growers for the delivered harvest, as well as on carrying out arable work on the fields vacated after mowing-time in accordance with agro-technical requirements.
Khyakim reported that work is underway on the timely commissioning of social and industrial facilities in the region in accordance with the requirements of this year.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the importance of monitoring the progress of construction of social and industrial facilities being built in the velayat, as well as their timely and high-quality commissioning.
Then Dashoguz velayat khyakim N.Nazarmyradov reported on the state of affairs in the region, comprehensive measures to organize wheat harvest without losses, timely settlements with grain growers for the harvest handed over to the state, arable work on fields vacated after mowing-time in accordance with agro-technical requirements, as well as efforts made to accelerate the pace of care for cotton and rice fields.
The head of Turkmenistan noted the importance of inter-row processing, vegetation irrigation and mineral fertilizing in the cotton fields of the region. Special attention should be paid to the cultivation of rich harvests of potatoes, vegetables and melons, their harvesting without loss. At the same time, work in the rice fields of the region should be carried out in accordance with the norms of agricultural technology.
The online working meeting continued with the report of Lebap velayat khyakim Sh.Amangeldiev about the state of affairs in the region, in particular, about settlements with grain growers for the harvest handed over to the state, about the organization of grain transportation to elevators and warehouses from remote receiving points and its proper storage, carrying out arable work in the fields after mowing-time according to agro-technical standards, as well as about the care of cotton.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to complete the harvest as soon as possible, timely payments for the harvest, its proper storage and addressed specific instructions to the khyakim in this regard. Also, arable work on the vacated areas should be carried out according to the norms of agrotechnics.
The head of state also instructed to study the issues to transfer agricultural lands from remote areas to cultivated zones on a scientific basis.
Then khyakim of Mary velayat D.Annaberdiev reported on the progress of seasonal field work, measures taken to complete mowing-time in the shortest possible time and without losses, timely payment of labor for grain growers, as well as plowing on vacant lands in compliance with agro-technical requirements.
Cotton care is carried out according to agro-technical standards. At the same time, the harvesting of grown potatoes and other vegetable crops continues in accordance with the tasks set.
It was reported on the course of sowing sugar beet, taking into account the norms of agricultural technology.
In addition, the construction of social and industrial facilities continues in the region.
Having focused attention on the fact that one of the main tasks facing agricultural producers is to supply the population with local products, including potatoes, vegetables, melons, the head of state gave specific instructions to the khyakim with the condition to comprehensively and in an organized manner approach the solution of these tasks.
Then Cabinet Deputy Chairman A.Yazmyradov reported on the progress of seasonal field work in the country. Great importance is attached to harvesting wheat till the last ear. Settlements with tenants-grain growers are made straightaway, and arable work is immediately organized on the grain lands freed from crops in compliance with the norms of agricultural technology.
In the regions, in accordance with agro-technical requirements, cotton crops are cared for. At the same time, great importance is attached to the timely harvesting of potatoes, vegetables and melons.
In Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, according to the norms of agricultural technology, rice fields are being cared for. Sugar beet sowing continues at a high rate in Balkan and Mary velayats.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the implementation of the instructions of the head of state on improving the reclamation condition of farmland, rational use of water resources and ensuring water supply in the country.
It was also reported about the organization of the transfer of agricultural lands from remote areas to cultivated zones.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of agricultural work at the local level, the care for cotton crops in accordance with the norms of agricultural technology and demanded to increase their pace.
The head of state ordered to prepare proposals as soon as possible concerning the improvement of the culture of arable farming, the efficiency of work, the preparation of the land register, the selection of high-yielding seed varieties taking into account the soil and climatic conditions of the region, the rational use of water using the latest technologies.
Underlining the importance of the tasks set, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take strict control of their implementation.
Arkadagly Serdar made a special emphasis on the issues of high-quality completion of mowing-time in the shortest possible time, accurate payment for tenants’ labor.
The head of state also gave relevant instructions on laying the foundations for the future harvest, plowing the vacant lands at the proper level in accordance with the norms of agricultural technology, and also ordered to take measures for high-quality harvesting of potatoes and other fruit and vegetable crops.
The work on the care of rice crops in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, as well as the sowing of sugar beet in Balkan and Mary velayats must meet the requirements.
The head of Turkmenistan noted that the issue of rational use of water should be approached taking into account the achievements of modern science and agricultural traditions of the people. In this regard, appropriate instructions were given.
The President of Turkmenistan assigned the Deputy Prime Minister to approach the issues of transferring agricultural land from remote areas to cultivated zones with full responsibility, increasing the agriculture, soil yield, crop rotation and, together with the khyakims, and prepare concrete proposals.
The Cabinet Deputy Chairman reported on the activities aimed at establishing cooperation on the shipment of wheat and flour from Kazakhstan to Afghanistan and through it to other countries. In particular, with the participation of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, it is planned to build an elevator for storing 100 thousand tons of wheat and a plant for the manufacture of appropriate bags on the lands of Çemenabat livestock farm in Serkhetabat etrap of Mary velayat. This work is supposed to be performed with shared participation.
Emphasizing that it will facilitate the development of relations between the countries of the region, including the restoration of the economy of Afghanistan, the President of Turkmenistan ordered a detailed study of the submitted proposal.
The head of state noted that the fulfillment of the tasks set is a requirement of time and will promote the socio-economic development of the country and increase the welfare of the population.
