On September 27-29, 2022, a training event organized by the Border Management Program in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) was held in the capital of Latvia, Riga, for the customs officers of the Central Asian countries on scanning vehicles and cargo crossing land customs borders and analyzing the data obtained.

The event was attended by two employees of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. During the event, participants got acquainted with advanced methods for analyzing images of vehicles crossing the border between the Baltic countries using special screening equipment. Experts from Latvia and Lithuania shared their experience in this area.

As a result of the training event, issues of cooperation between the states of the region in the relevant field and work to be carried out in the coming years were discussed
