An interdepartmental conference was held at the central office of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan on the topic “Development of transit traffic and logistics in our country, increasing the attractiveness of transit transport routes crossing the territory of the country”. The event was attended by representatives of the structural divisions of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the Association of Turkmen International Road Carriers, the Association "Turkmen Logistics", exporters-members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. During the interdepartmental conference, the work of the State Customs Service to increase the throughput of goods and vehicles at checkpoints across the state border was discussed in connection with the formation of a versatile transport and logistics system in the country and an increase in transit capacities. As well as the operation of the TIR-EPD digital system, which allows to speed up the crossing of the customs border by cars carrying out international cargo transportation, the ASYCUDA World integrated customs information system, which provides information on the amount of fees and duties collected from owners of foreign vehicles.

During the meeting, the participants considered various issues of interest to them and exchanged views on them. Regular holding of such consultations in the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan is important for improving the work of participants in foreign economic activity.
