On December 19-20, 2022, customs officers joined online the 3rd session of the Technical implementation body of the Administrative Committee of the TIR Convention, 1975, UNECE. Officials of Contracting parties to the TIR Convention, as well as representatives of IRU and automobile associations of this union attended the session.
During the session, participants discussed important issues for customs authorities related to the realization of e-TIR and the development of international technical standards for its introduction.
Furthermore, work done by Technical implementation body of the Administrative Committee was considered as well during the session.
In conclusion, a question and answer session was also held between representatives of the customs authorities of participating countries and appropriate decisions were made.
