IT system TIR-EPD, developed in accordance with The Customs Convention on International Transport of Goods Under Cover of TIR Carnets (TIR Convention, 1975) by International Transport Union (IRU), is integrated with the customs information system ASYCUDA World in the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
Currently, on the basis of preliminary electronic information received through the TIR-EPD, customs declarations are processed automatically and free of charge in the ASYCUDA World, without using the services of a customs broker.
In addition, customs control of vehicles performing international transport of goods under cover of TIR Carnets are carried out on a priority basis through specially introduced «Green channels» at border crossings.
These achievements testify to the constant modernization of the country's transport and logistics base under the wise leadership of our Respected President and the continual increase in the attractiveness of the country's international transport corridors.
