In the Training Center under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, the next courses for the initial training of employees of the customs authorities of Turkmenistan have begun work. 17 customs officers, newly recruited to various divisions of the customs service, started training.
Since the beginning of 2023, this is the first group of students whose training is organized at the Training Center. Preparatory courses are implemented by the teaching staff of the Training Center. The training center also conducts training for employees on an ongoing basis at the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan.
As the director of the Training Center G. Muradov noted, passing these courses is a prerequisite for every new customs officer, regardless of which unit he will serve in. After all, high requirements are imposed on specialists in terms of qualifications, and the courses will help to acquire basic knowledge in customs.
For a two-month period, beginners will have to master a significant amount of information in the customs and legal sphere, in the field of organizing customs control and customs procedures, customs payments, customs statistics, combating customs offenses, as well as information technology and customs inspection equipment.
As planned by the Training Center, at the end of the study of each thematic section, an intermediate knowledge control in the form of a “test” will be held. His results will be taken into account during the final exam. Based on the results of the final exam, which will be assessed by the Commission of the State Customs Service, it will be determined whether the employee will continue further service in the customs authorities of Turkmenistan.
