On July 26, 2023, a delegation of Tajikistan, consisting of representatives of the Office of the President, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the border and customs services of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the program office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Dushanbe, paid a study visit to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. The visit was organized within the framework of cooperation with the OSCE.

The program of the event started with a bilateral meeting of representatives of the State Customs of Turkmenistan and the arriving delegation, where the delegates received detailed information about the history of the formation of customs in Turkmenistan, the activities of customs authorities at the present time, and new digital technologies being introduced.

Then the guests got acquainted with the administrative building of the State Customs Service. Here they examined the situational center, where centralized control over all customs posts is carried out, visited the museum located on the first floor of the building. In the customs procedures automation department, the guests were presented with the work of the ASYCUDA WORLD information system, which has been used since 2020.

In addition, Tajik representatives also visited the International Customs Terminal and the Training Center under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
