President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and the hyakims of velayats to consider issues related to the development of regions, as well as the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns.
The floor was first given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim R. Hodjagulyev, who reported on the state of affairs in the region.
As was reported, at present, inter-row cultivation, application of mineral fertilizers and watering seedlings are ongoing in the cotton fields, while agricultural machinery and equipment are operated effectively.
At the same time, preparations of cotton gins and combine harvesters are underway for the autumn season, as well as the plowing and planning of lands allotted for next year’s wheat crop.
Preparations for sowing winter crops are carried out in accordance with the agro-technical terms.
The report included information on the construction pace of various facilities, the commissioning of which is timed to coincide with the 32nd anniversary of the country’s independence.
Having heard the report, and emphasizing the importance of seasonal field campaigns, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under strict control the compliance with agro-technical requirements when caring for cotton and plowing lands allotted for wheat, as well as supplying farmers with high-quality seed materials.
The head of state focused on implementing the provisions outlined in the National Rural Program, having given the khyakim specific instructions to ensure the high construction quality of facilities in the region, the commissioning of which is scheduled for this year.
Then Balkan Velayat Khyakim H. Ashyrmyradov reported on the pace of field campaigns.
As was reported, cotton care continues in accordance with agro-technical standards, with the operation of agricultural machinery at full capacity. At the same time, preparations are in progress for the cotton harvest, as well as the plowing and planning of lands for next year’s wheat crop.
Along with this, appropriate measures are taken to complete in an organized manner the sowing of winter potatoes, vegetables, watermelons, melons and other agricultural crops within the established agro-technical terms.
The report included information on the construction progress of buildings and facilities to be opened on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the sacred independence of Turkmenistan.
Summing up the report, the head of state emphasized that an important requirement of today is the compliance with the agro-technical requirements when performing seasonal agricultural work, in particular, caring for cotton, as well as proper preparation of lands for sowing wheat, and providing grain growers with high-quality seed material, having given specific instructions to the khyakim.

The working meeting via a digital system was continued by the report of Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim S. Soltanmyradov on the state of affairs in the farmlands of the northern region of the country.
As was reported, at present, cotton fields’ treatment, in particular, inter-row cultivation, application of mineral fertilizers and irrigation, is carried out using agricultural machinery and equipment. Cotton ginning enterprises, collection points and agricultural machinery are prepared for the harvesting campaign.
In addition, the plowing and planning of lands continues in order to prepare for the wheat sowing, as well as caring for rice fields in accordance with agro-technical standards.
Measures are taken to ensure proper planting of winter agricultural crops according to schedule.

Currently, cotton is cared for in accordance with agro-technical standards, while agricultural machinery and equipment are operated effectively. Cotton gins, collection points and cotton harvesting combines are prepared for the upcoming campaign.
At the same time, the plowing and planning of lands allotted for the next year’s wheat crop is carried out according to the agro-technical requirements.
Everything necessary is done for the timely and proper sowing of potatoes, vegetables, watermelons, melons and other crops, as well as for the treatment of rice fields.
The governor of the region also reported on the construction pace of facilities, scheduled for commissioning on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of independence.
Summing up the report and focusing on the importance of completing seasonal agricultural campaigns on time, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under constant control the cotton fields’ treatment and preparations for the upcoming sowing season, in particular, the cultivation of areas for wheat and the stocking of high-yielding varieties of seeds.
Separate instructions related to ensuring high-quality and timely completion of construction work at facilities scheduled for commissioning this year as part of the National Program for the Transformation of the Social and Living Conditions of the Population of Villages, Towns, Etrap Cities and Etrap Centers for the period up to 2028.

Moreover, the governor of the region was instructed to control the construction quality of social and industrial facilities, scheduled for commissioning this year under the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

As was reported, comprehensive treatment operations are under way in the areas sown to cotton, including inter-row cultivation, application of mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation. Machinery and facilities are prepared, including transportation equipment, cotton-ginning enterprises, collection points, etc., for the upcoming harvesting campaign.
Plowing, harrowing and planning work is ongoing in agricultural lands allocated for the next year’s wheat crop, as well as the preparation of machinery and aggregates, and the stocking of wheat seeds.
Measures are taken to properly organize the gathering of potatoes, vegetables, watermelon, melon and other crops with the subsequent delivery to food markets. Efforts are made to timely complete the planting of winter crops.
At the same time, rice fields in the Dashoguz and Lebap Velayats and sugar beet plantations in the Mary Region are treated in compliance with the agro-technical requirements.
Summing up the report, the President of Turkmenistan specified the completion of seasonal campaigns in accordance with the agro-technical requirements among the priorities, ordering to maintain the proper treatment of cotton fields.
The deputy prime minister was instructed to keep under constant control the compliance with the established requirements and deadlines when cultivating lands for the next year’s wheat crop, as well as the supplies of selected varieties of seeds that are resistant to the soil and climatic conditions of our country.
Further, addressing the working meeting participants, the head of state gave specific instructions on compliance with the requirements in carrying out field campaigns, in particular, caring for cotton, preparing areas for the wheat sowing and planting winter vegetable, watermelon and melon crops.
