During the event, the delegation of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan (SCST) shared the experience of Turkmenistan on the implementation of gender policy in the customs authorities, a video was presented on the service of women in the customs authorities of Turkmenistan.

“In our country, the profession of a customs officer has long ceased to be exclusively male. Women serving in the customs authorities shoulder to shoulder with men fulfill their duties: they prevent illegal trade, administer customs payments, maintain customs statistics, and master advanced customs technologies. Many of them successfully serve in leadership positions. Dozens of women in the service were awarded medals of various degrees, were awarded with thanks and diplomas from the leadership of the State Customs Service. Among the women customs officers there are participants and winners of national sports championships and international competitions.” - said the representative of the SCST delegation who spoke.

The submitted video was highly appreciated. Experts and participants welcomed the achievements of the female Turkmen customs officers.
