On September 30, 2023, at the 3rd meeting of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation, the Law of Turkmenistan “On Amendments and Additions to the Customs Code of Turkmenistan” was adopted.
In accordance with the law, a new chapter has been introduced into the Customs Code of Turkmenistan, which provides for rules on the authorized economic operator, the benefits provided to it, its rights and obligations.
Goods belonging to legal entities included in the list of authorized economic operators by the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan are processed quickly and in a simplified manner when crossing the customs border. In addition, appropriate measures are taken to enable these persons to avail such benefits in respect of the goods they export to foreign countries.
