A delegation from State Customs Service of Turkmenistan (SCST) visited the Customs offices and AEO Advanced Certification Training Base in Shenzhen China from 18 to 22 December 2023. The delegation met with Mr. Zhu Fang, Deputy Director General of the Department of Enterprise Management and Audit-based Control of the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) and AEO specialists’ team to discuss the implementation arrangements of the MoU between SCST and GACC singed in October 19, 2023.

During the event, AEO specialists from Shenzhen, Qingdao and Shenyang Customs delivered presentations on the experiences and challenges in implementing their respective AEO programmes. The visit to the “Shenzhen Customs AEO Advanced Certification Training Base” in Longgang also was organized for Turkmen delegation to learn more about the support and training provided by Shenzhen Customs to enterprises that have an interest in joining the AEO programme.

As a part of visit program the excursion to KTC Commercial Display Parent Company took place, where AEO specialists and Company`s staff demonstrated AEO validation and certification process.

The Turkmen delegation also visited the smart sea port of Mawan to get acquainted with the infrastructure of the port and the capabilities of the latest smart technologies used in the port to carry out customs operations. The program of events included a visit to the international postal hub of Shenzhen as well.
