The foundations of another administrative, business and investment center of the country have been laid.

According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, on April 10, 2019, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in a solemn ceremony of laying the administrative center of the Ahal velayat, a new city, which will be erected in the territory of the Gokdepe etrap.

This event marks another important step towards the successful implementation of the socio-economic strategy of the head of state, one of the key aspects of which is to create the best conditions for a comfortable life of the people of Turkmenistan. The implementation of urban planning projects is also intended to contribute to solving the problems of the integrated industrialization of the regions, the diversification of the national economy, and the development of the private sector.

The Turkmen Leader gives start to construction, throwing the first shovels of concrete, with which the complex development of the chosen territory begins and the construction of a large complex of houses, office buildings and other structures.

The main principle, as follows from the speech of the head of state, will be the self-sufficiency of the organization of the living environment of the urban space, so that the population of the administrative center has every opportunity to learn, relax, play sports, create, use modern services of shopping, entertainment and health services and, of course, get a decent job . The jobs created here will ensure the economic viability and sustainable development of the city, will allow integrating it into the economic structure of the country.

And another important point to which the Turkmen Leader pays special attention is ecology. The new administrative center of Ahal will be located in a picturesque place, a spacious valley, in the foothills of the Kopetdag. And in order to preserve this natural beauty, a wide use of “green” technologies will be needed. Thus, the future city should become a role model, including in environmental terms, in terms of a new urban culture.
