On December 10, 2024, the employees of the Training Center under the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, headed by the director, met online with the teaching staff of the Customs Institute of the Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of personnel training from 2022.

The parties considered current issues and prospects for bilateral cooperation, in particular, the exchange of educational technologies and teaching methods, the organization of mutual advanced training courses were discussed. The issue of studying the experience of Uzbekistan in the use of ten-digit codes Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System and the organization of a corresponding seminar for employees of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan was raised.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to develop an Action Plan for 2025 and draw up an annual schedule of online seminars.
