On April 18, 2025, an online meeting was held between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Regional Office for Capacity Building for the World Customs Organization in Europe (ROCB Europe). The meeting was conducted in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere. The Turkmen side was represented by the Head of the Training Centre and representatives of the State Customs Service. ROCB Europe was represented by the Director of the Office, Mr. Antonio Lo Parco, Mr. Mirhasan Seyidzade, and other representatives of the organization.

The parties discussed key aspects of establishing the WCO Regional Training Centre (RTC) in Ashgabat. The strategic vision and expectations for the RTC Turkmenistan, as well as priority needs in capacity building and human resource development, were presented. Both sides expressed mutual interest in strengthening cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to active joint efforts within the framework of the initiative to establish the RTC in Turkmenistan.
